I was honored to host the Spanish DJ and Producer Aaryon at Per-vurt Studio during his visit to Beirut as i was very much influenced by his releases on some of the world’s top labels such as Steyoyoke, Yoshitoshi Recordings, Noir Music, Parquet Recordings, Suara and others.. I’ve had a chat with Aaryon and discussed with him his insights about the global electronic music industry, his top 5 Not To Do when DJ’ing, and asked him about his quarantine time.
It all began when he studied the piano and the clarinet at the conservatory and after he graduated with honors and won several awards, he performed in various orchestras and chamber ensembles. The Italian Simonpietro took his skills into another dimension where he started to create his own music and perform in many clubs. his music got signed on labels such as Solomun’s Diynamic Music, Sven Vath’s Cocoon, Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat, Oliver Koletzki’s Stil Vor Talent, Defected, and more.. His vast knowledge in classical music and his love for electronics were the result of a sofisticated product, a melodic approach, topped with rhythm and bucolic shades, all in his preferred minor keys.
Hasan Awadaβs awareness about electronic music began in the car with his mother, at the age of 13, listening to the prominent John Digweed on the radio. And this is where the love affair with electronic music started. After striving and working hard, experimenting and learning, he got the chance to perform in several venues across Lebanon. He is currently a DJ, producer, tutor at Per-vurt DJ School, and the Music Director of ONE40.
I met GUZY at Per-vurt Studio last year and it was very unfortunate that we did not have days to spend together as it was great to have him around and discuss matters related to electronic music with him. Not only he has a pure heart, a clean mind, and a crystal soul, he is very well equipped with knowledge and passion to what he does and loves the most, and is totally immersed and driven by emotions. I’ve had a chat with GUZY asking him about his quaranTIME and how he’s going through it, as well as reviewing with him his favorite plugins & DAW, and delivering his advises to the upcoming talents.
