With the vast amount of modern high-tech gear each student has access to, and with the tutor’s unique support and attention, Per-vurt school has been the launching base of today’s local heroes.
At Per-vurt School, our aim is to always support education and grant our students the best we can to ensure they get an excellent learning experience even when their financial resources are limited. We believe that it is our responsibility to contribute in making education less of a privilege and more of a human right. For that, we have come up with a financial aid that would extend the students course payments over a longer period of time while they enjoy taking the course stress free.
WHAT IS DJ’ING?
DJ’ing is the art of mixing two or more tracks together in a non-stop flow, using vinyl or CDJ players, digital controllers, or even mobile devices. DJ’ing is not about composing the tracks, rather transitioning between them. Check out this blog post to learn more about the different DJ & Performance set-ups →
WHAT IS MUSIC PRODUCTION?
Music Production is the art of composing a track. The process of writing music covers the main 5 elements of a track: Drums, Melodies, Basslines, Vocals, and Sound Effects. After conceiving the idea and designing/recording the sounds, the music producer arranges the sequences and mixes down the layers before getting into the final stage of mastering.
WHAT IS SOUND DESIGN?
Sound Design is the art of creating a sound from scratch. This process involves many techniques such as Subtractive Synthesis, Additive Synthesis, Sample Modeling, FM Synthesis, Wavetable Synthesis and More. When using a software plugin, one can start oscillating different waveforms and manipulating their shape, frequency, and amplitude, modulating and controlling different aspects of the sound to create a unique signature design. The Sound can then be played on a keyboard or sequenced via MIDI. The same can happen on an analog synthesizer or bass/drum machine.
Check out this blog post to read more about the different types of Synthesis →
WHAT IS MIXING AND MASTERING
Mixing and Mastering are the last two stages of Music Production. Mixing involves balancing the levels of the tracks that have been recorded or produced, fine-tuning the sound of each instrument or voice using equalization (EQ), “Panning” the tracks between speakers to create a stereo image and sonic dimension, adding reverb, compression, and other effects to enhance the original composition. Mastering requires a professional skill of gluing the overall composition and enhancing the master channel and particular sonic characteristics, as well as preparing the track for pressing or digital release and distribution.

WHAT IS LIVE PERFORMANCE?
Live Performance is the art of performing pre recorded compositions using modern technology such as MIDI Controllers and Launchpads. The performer can also use analog or organic instruments to jam on stage.

I AM STILL NOT SURE WHAT COURSE TO TAKE!
If you are still not sure which course to take, please give us a call or send us an email and we will be glad to assist you. We have also created a Course Advisor page to help you discover more about our courses and which one is best suitable for you.
TOP 10 QUESTIONS
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT CONDITIONS? CAN I PAY IN L.L?
The courses are priced in USD for international students. If you are a local student, you can pay in Lebanese Pounds following our fair rates that are updated on a weekly basis. We surely do not fully charge you based on the secondary market or black market rate, we choose to be as fair as it should be. Please note that both the shared and private classes have different payment structures. The rate for each course is mentioned in the course page’s price table
As for the payment methods, we accept cash, checks, cards, local and international transfers, online payments, and bank swifts (bank charges apply on all electronic payments)
DJ Courses are short and can be competed within an average of three weeks. The payment could be split into two halves: 50% of the amount should be paid upon registration and 50% should be paid half way through the course timeline.
The payment for the Music Production Programs that last for a period of 3 to 5 months can be settled monthly.
As for the short private courses, the payment has to be fully completed before the start of the course.
DO YOU OFFER FINANCIAL AID FOR STUDENTS?
At Per-vurt School, our aim is to always support education and grant our students the best we can to ensure they get an excellent learning experience even when their financial resources are limited. We believe that it is our responsibility to contribute in making education less of a privilege and more of a human right.
For that, we have come up with a financial aid that would extend the students course payments over a longer period of time while they enjoy taking the course stress free. The plan is to grant the students double the time it takes them to finish their course for them to complete the payments with 0% interest. Forexample, if the course duration is 4 months, the student can have 8 payment installments instead of 4. This financial aid is only grated to those who can issue a banker’s check that would remain in our safe box as a guarantee and which will be returned to the issuer when the full payment is settled.
For more information about our financial aid and how to apply for it please contact us here →
WHEN IS THE NEXT CLASS SCHEDULED?
On Average, we launch DJ & Music Production Classes every four to eight weeks. To book a seat in our next class, you need to apply for your Course and book your seat by submitting a down-payment (Non-refundable and will be deducted from the course fee). Once done, we will ensure that you start the course within a maximum period of eight weeks. In the application form, you mention your free schedule and we will add you to the class that fits your timing. Usually the DJ & Private Customized Classes are more frequent and will have an average waiting time of 4 weeks before start.
In case of private tutoring, the schedule is more flexible and can be discussed closely with the tutor after submitting and confirming an application.
DO YOU OFFER ONLINE COURSES?
Yes. Because we do not believe in recording a course and selling it online, and since one of our power points is to deliver an expert one-on-one education, we decided to launch our private online courses
Wherever you are, sit back, relax, get connected, and start learning what you love the most. For more information about our online courses please visit the online course page here →
HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE GROUPED IN A CLASS?
Because we care to give the student all the attention required, we have limited the number of students per class to four only. One of the most important advantages is that the students can work in groups and learn from each other, as well as discovering different approaches and perspectives towards DJ’ing and Music Production.
WHAT STYLE OF MUSIC DO YOU TEACH?
We are specialized in Electronic Music however we do not teach you what to produce or what to mix, we teach you how to do so. When you learn the art, technique, and science of DJ and Music Production, you will be able to produce or mix any style of choice, whether it is Pop, Dance, R&B, Techno, House, or even Dubstep, Chillout, Psychedelic and D&B..
DO I HAVE TO HAVE ANY MUSICAL BACKGROUND?
Learning the art and science of DJ’ing and Music Production requires no musical background. We have developed our courses in a way that takes you from zero to hero in no time. You only need to have a passion for what you want to learn about whether you want to take it to another level and start a career or simply learn it as a hobby.
DO YOU HELP ME FIND GIGS OR LABELS?
One of the advantages you learn at Per-vurt is that Per-vurt is also a record label chain that is connected with the world’s top DJs and Producers. We also sequentially host events and give the chance to our top students to perform live and experience the stage. “Per-vurt Sessions” is another platform we provide to our students to be noticed on social media and push their career forward.
DO I GET A CERTIFICATE UPON COMPLETION?
Although we do not believe in major benefits behind receiving a certificate in DJ’ing or in Music Production, and because those two domains are not considered to be academic, we do grant certificates to the students taking the “Master Programs”. Students taking Essential or Private Courses are granted a letter of completion.
It is true that hanging a certificate on the wall looks nice, but what really makes you qualified is your skill in mixing, performing, or composing music.
WILL I BE ABLE TO PRODUCE/DJ AFTER I GRADUATE?
Knowledge, Talent, Skill, Practice, Passion and Patience are the main ingredients of success. At Per-vurt, not only we make sure that you get the most professional tutoring, but we make sure that we will be proud being represented by you in the dance music industry. For that, we have decided to not graduate the student without making sure that he/she is able to produce music.
Upon completion of the Master Program covering both modules, and with your effort to practice as much as required and needed, you will certainly be able to produce music in a professional way.
Taking the “Module One” only does not cover all the courses needed to complete a track professionally, however it gives you a fairly essential education about the early stages of electronic music production and recording

" Per-vurt and G-Mohris are the best thing to ever happen to us music producers in the middle east because we never had any shops that actually sell synths and so on and help other people produce music. G. actually did a music production school which no one did in Lebanon before him, and i took a course there before i moved to UK. He has pushed a lot all the local talents to produce music so we are very thankful to what he did. "
