STORY
Driven by a burning desire to see others succeed, G-Mohris’ own success has been achieved against all odds through the lens of Lebanese civil strife and a war-torn Beirut that saw the path from child to man traveled all too rapidly. Shunning more traditional childhood gifts and pastimes in favor of an early Casio synthesizer, a passion for electronic music was thus borne from endless hours of youthful experimentation and sacrifice. Such enthusiasm ultimately led to a desire for greater immersion in a sound that was synonymous with Beirut’s underground scene.
Responsible in his early years for bringing the likes of Steve Lawler, Dubfire, Marco V, Fred Baker, and many others to the Beirut early rising clubbing scene while he studied at the Lebanese American University, and at Berklee College of Music, Mastering in both hospitality management and music business, bore the hallmarks of an individual ready to make his mark in the wider music industry.
Having built a network of solid friendship with his fellow local artist and business contacts, G-Mohris launched the Per-vurt Music Empire in 2006 to immediate success. Featuring in the world’s media from Time Out and The Financial Times to DJ Mag and Radio One, the DJ & Music Production School, Music Technology Store, Record Labels, Shows, Services, Workshops, Studios, and the Event Management Firm cemented his status as a burgeoning business entrepreneur, DJ and Producer.

WORKSHOPS
As part of the school’s mission to increase awareness about music production and dj education, Per-vurt has been launching series of workshops and masterclasses that happen inside and outside the studio, featuring local and international artists, in collaboration with Lebanon’s top clubs, education centers, djs, producers, and performers.
“A Day With” is the name of the masterclass series launched by the school featuring international icons in the electronic dance music industry. The very first event took place at Per-vurt featuring one of the world’s top mastering engineers Robert Babicz who shared his expertise and gave a 4 hours masterclass about mixing and mastering, to a group of fresh talents with an eager to learn from the pros.
Per-vurt launches seasonal workshops as part of its collaboration and partnership with the local top clubs and education centers. The biggest so far was the very first official Ableton workshop that took place at The Grand Factory’s Reunion as part of the official partnership and sponsorship with BBX event, a workshop that welcomed 105 people, of which 5 had the chance of winning a full license of Ableton Live Suite.

LABELS
In 2010, Per-vurt registered 3 record labels in Los Angeles, Per-vurt Records, Vurtical Records, and Pink Pervs, operating from Beirut and working globally under the wings of Proton LTD Distribution. From day one, the labels got the attention of the world’s top djs and producers such as Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, and Armin Van Buuren, who played, charted, and supported the releases that marked a noticeable success in the progressive house and melodic techno modern history.
Per-vurt Records along with its sub-labels signed 4 licenses with Armin Van Buuren’s Armada and other licenses with respected labels, taking the releases onto another level. and with more than 450 tracks coming from more than 300 artists from around 40 countries, which repetitively got featured by Beatport’s top 100 releases, Per-vurt has maintained its solid position on the electronic dance music worldwide map.

STUDIO
Per-vurt Studio is by far one of the most advanced and high tech music production & dj studios in the Middle East with an extensive amount of analog and digital synthesizers, MIDI controllers, drum machines, and dj gear, all connected and synced in a cozy and acoustically treated space. The studio has won the #1 Studio in the world by “Ultimate IG Studios” and got the attention of Beatport, FACTmag, DJ Mag and others who have shared it on their social media. Per-vurt has also welcomed many international artists such as Bedouin, Satori, Coyu, Marco Bailey, Jackmaster, Danny Howells, Mathame, Hidden Empire, King Unique, and many others, who visited the studio for jamming, working on projects, shooting interviews, or dropping a quick hello.
Per-vurt Studio is where local and international artist interviews are filmed as part of G.GOES LIVE show, and it is where the students and other guest djs and performers are hosted on the worldwide web as part of Per-vurt Sessions video-cast. The studio engages in producing music for local talents, ads, and offers mixing and mastering services as well as editing and recording.
As part of the studio, The DJ Room – first of its own – was launched to give the acoustically treated and isolated space along with the gear needed for the students and other djs to practice and record their mixes

SHOWS
“Per-vurt Sessions” is a video-cast show that films local and international artists mixing and performing a one hour set at the studio. The show is professionally filmed, edited, and produced on high standards and then uploaded on 4 different online platforms running sponsored ads to reach the audience on the worldwide web. The show’s main objective is to showcase the local talents especially Per-vurt students and promote them online. A platform the school offered as part of launching the students in the market
“G.GOES LIVE” is a show hosted and presented by G-Mohris, the owner of Per-vurt, that features local and international artists up-close and personal interviews to discuss topics related to electronic music, dj, performance, mixing, mastering, technology, business, events, and more.. The show had most of the local legends on board as well as international artists such as Robert Babicz, Superflu, Doctor Dru, Thyladomid, Soel, Monkey Safari and more .. G-Mohris goes on solo as well presenting free tutorials, product demos, and discussions based on the crowd topics of choice

Per-vurt offers a wide variety of services ranging from gear rental and installation as part of the event management line under the business, providing a sound and light solution for any kind of event whether it is a wedding or a house party.
Music playlist management and preparation is one of the unique services offered to djs, music enthusiasts and corporate entities, where different genres of music can be filtered and consolidated in custom made playlists.
Per-vurt also offers the DJ Room rental service, a first of its kind service, for djs to be able to practice and record their mixes in an acoustically treated and isolated room, with access to an extensive gear and without any interruption, at a reasonable price.
