A NEW APPROACH TO 4 DECK PERFORMANCE
It only seems fitting that Pioneer DJ would develop a ground-breaking new DJ controller to meet the demand as the lines between beat-making, DJing, sampling, and performance continue to blur: the Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX10.
With the help of cutting-edge sonic tools, this 4-deck controller masterfully fuses the familiar sensibilities of their CDJ and DJM devices with the cutting-edge sonic tools required to bring your mix into a new realm of possibilities. DJs concur that the DDJ-FLX10 represents an unprecedented advance in performance capabilities that DJs of all creeds will find completely re-imagines what they can do. This includes its potent FX suite, real-time stem separation, advanced performance-pad functions, and onboard, intelligent lighting control.
REAL TIME STEM SEPARATION AND ADVANCED CONTROLS
The new Rekordbox was released at the same time as the DDJ-FLX10, and it includes a previously unobtainable tool that enables deep modification and remixing of any standard audio recording.
A track may be divided into three RGB color-coded portions using real-time part separation: blue for the percussion, green for the coals, and red for the instrumentals. Each of them may be separately toggled at any moment, and each portion can have its volume and FX adjusted in real time. The traditional harmonic boundaries imposed by multiple key signatures are all but eliminated thanks to this feature, which allows you to wash the drums with reverb as the track plays or gradually bring the instruments and vocals up into the mix as you transition between songs.
NEW EFFECTS AND SMART CLUB STANDARD CONTROLS
Sound Color FX and Beat FX are the two main kinds of onboard effects. The latter has separate color FX knobs that, when activated, may be used to dim space, delay/echo, crush, pitch, noise, and filter choices. Rhythm FX are available in 14 varieties and may be applied with pleasing tactility to individual channels, microphones, or the master output with a single control knob. The DDJ-FLX10 also debuts the amazing new Mix Point Link, which enables you to set mix-in and mix-out points using Hot Cues. Track transitions start automatically at the designated places, freeing you up to manage FX and other creative transitions.
The DDJ-FLX10 uses the same jog platters as the CDJ and includes a Jog Feel adjustment knob to make them as stiff or loose as you’d prefer, so users of the CDJ- and DJM-series products will feel right at home.
DMX CONTROL AND MORE
Out of the box, this controller features a dedicated DMX output and compatibility with rekordbox Lighting Mode, accommodating up to 512 DMX channels without additional processing hardware. Just open up rekordbox, assign your lights, and you’re ready to go. rekordbox will even perform what’s called “phrase analysis,” intelligently mapping the dynamic range of activity for each track to optimize lighting to match the hype. Of course, if you prefer to create your own sequence, or modify from rekordbox’s own intelligent light show, these adjustments can be saved and stored for reliable, repeated use.
