Genelec 8050B provides the precise sound you require for your studio, broadcast suite, mastering lab, or other audio production facility. With a strong 120dB per pair and clear low-frequency response down to 35Hz, the 8050B is more than adequate for most conventional mix facilities on its own.
If you require a 2.1 or surround sound configuration, it seamlessly integrates with a subwoofer. Genelec’s revolutionary edge-less Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) does more than simply look nice; it also produces amazing dimensional image.
MINIMUM DIFFRACTION ENCLOSURE
The 8050B features Genelec’s MDE (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure) enclosure with rounded edges and gently curved front and sides. This allows the 8050B to achieve a very smooth frequency response and superb imaging qualities with minimized cabinet edge diffraction.
Like all Genelec 8000 Series monitors, the 8050B also features the advanced Genelec Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW). The revolutionary DCW has been further enhanced to provide extremely accurate control of the 8050B’s directivity. Genelec designed this specially shaped, very smooth surface and integrated it with the enclosure. Its area has been maximized to achieve an astoundingly flat on- and off-axis frequency response. As a result, the 8050B has an astoundingly wide, flat frequency response both on- and off-axis. This also gives the 8050B superb imaging qualities and less listening fatigue.
