Vibrations that pass through your boom, stand, and mount are cancelled out before they get to your audio stream when you use a pivoting stand mount that is also incorporated with a shockmount.
A multistage foam-mesh windscreen also provides additional protection because it has an internal pop filter. In addition, a thread adapter for 5/8-inch-27 to 3/8-inch-16 is included with the pivoting stand.
