Add in the connective capabilities of the onboard SonicLink, Pro DJ Link, and a Multi I/O USB-C port, along with wired options, and one thing is clear: The AlphaTheta DJM-V5 is ready to summit uncharted peaks of modern mixing firepower and elevate any aural atmosphere.
EVOCATIVE EFFECTS
In addition to the 4-band EQ, each channel is equipped with individuated Filter, Compression, and Send FX controls, all of which have been revamped to preserve maximum detail and clarity. The six onboard Send FX options span Short Delay, Reverb, Tape Echo, Ping Pong, Echo-Verb, and Shimmer, selectable at any time and applied via per-channel saturation controls. Additionally, time-based effects are fully syncable with the BPM, and selectable Time subdivisions join Size and Parameter control knobs, allowing you to dial in the optimal spatial-contouring arsenal for any set.
And for those rocking an RMX-IGNITE, RMX-1000, or the DJM-REC iPhone/iPad application in their rig, the front-mounted Multi I/O USB-C port digitally sends and receives both Sync and audio information, masterfully preserving it across compatible devices before it ever passes through the onboard DAC. Thanks to the onboard SonicLink compatibility, the DJM-V5 lets you wirelessly wield its full ferocity with the AlphaTheta HDJ-F10 headphones, offering ultra-low-latency monitoring via the conventional route or the selectable Mono/Split modes, simply by pressing a button. For select headphone models, the front-mounted headphone touchpoint allows you to immediately connect and synchronize your wireless headphones.
When it comes to mixing modularity, the DJM-V5’s hardware supports myriad configuration options across Pro DJ Link, Link Cue, Multi I/O, and more. The rear-mounted LAN port seamlessly processes essential synchronization, tempo, and further data when connected with compatible DJ players, such as the CDJ-3000X and CDJ-3000. Likewise, Link Cue allows you to preview tracks while browsing on your CDJ without needing to load them. The DJM-V5 also allows you to peek ahead in the track currently playing without disrupting your mix. And when you’re integrating DVS or similar sonics into your set, the rear-mounted USB-C terminal supports direct use with rekordbox or Serato DJ Pro for both Mac and Windows devices.
