ADAM Audio definitely outperforms themselves with the A77H. It has a sturdy horizontal cabinet that houses two 7-inch woofers, a 3.5-inch midrange driver, and an X-ART ribbon tweeter. The drivers work together to provide rock-solid image with exceptional clarity and definition throughout an ultra-wide frequency range.
Users will appreciate the ease of setup provided by the integrated DSP-based tweaking features. The ADAM Audio A77H Studio Monitor has an incredibly broad frequency response, excellent clarity, and a deep, enveloping sweet spot.
TRI-AMPED 3 WAY & X-ART TWEETER
The ADAM Audio A77H has a real tri-amped power section as well as perfectly tuned crossovers. A 250 W amp powers both of the 7-inch woofers. Meanwhile, the midrange amp provides 70 W of power to the driver, while the tweeter has its own 20 W amplifier. Seamless crossovers at 400Hz and 3kHz are included in the 3-way design.
Fortunately, the A77H has ADAM Audio’s excellent X-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter. The pleated diaphragm moves air four times faster than the membrane itself is moving, thereby eliminating high-end distortion at the source
DSP AND “A” CONTROL ROOM CORRECTION
ADAM Audio “A” Series speakers are designed to be adaptable to changing requirements, preferences, and environments. For many people, the environments in which they create music are multipurpose, doubling as a bedroom or living room where acoustic treatment is often not an option.
Using A Control, you can push advanced filters directly to an embedded platform onboard the monitors to help compensate for imperfect room acoustics, and this platform supports filters from industry leaders Sonarworks. Using Sonarworks SoundID Reference software and a measurement mic, you can create calibration curves specifically for your room and run them directly on your “A” Series monitors.
