The M-Audio Hammer 88 is a value-packed, no-compromise keyboard controller with an authentic piano feel. The Hammer 88 has 88 velocity-sensitive, fully weighted hammer-action keys that properly transmit all of the delicate nuance in your playing, giving you the unmistakable response of a traditional grand piano.
The Hammer 88 controller, weighing only 38.5 pounds, is excellent for live performances. Its top deck is clutter-free and piano-like, yet it includes pitch and mod wheels, a data fader, and jacks for sustain, expression, and soft pedals. It has various zones for layering, splits, and allows you to play 4-note chords with a single keypress! It is also powered by USB, eliminating the need for a power supply.
EXPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE AT ITS BEST
The Hammer 88 is slim and aggressive, but it still offers the necessities for expressive performances. Pitch and mod wheels, a master fader, and two assignable buttons are ergonomically placed on the deck.
The mod wheel and fader may be mapped to any MIDI parameter, making it simple to sculpt sounds on the fly. The up and down buttons can be used to pick programs, FX, MMC messages, jump octaves, and other functions. M-Audio built the Hammer for professional keyboardists, so they incorporated a variety of pedal inputs to help you articulate your performances like a pro.
