ICONIC SEMI MODULAR SYNTHESIZER
Synthesists have been waiting for Behringer ‘s Model 15, a redesigned take on classic analog synthesis. The semi-modular powerhouse uses precisely re-created circuitry to provide sonic sculptors with a pure-analog signal channel that captures its predecessor’s signature character, resurrected in a no-patching design. Its syncable dual VCOs are accompanied by a dedicated sub-oscillator and a 4-waveform LFO with pulse-width, filter, and pitch modulation controls.
An ADSR envelope and vintage-style 24dB/octave ladder filter, together with the painstakingly recreated spring reverb, can shape your sound with subtle shaping, evocative swells, and all in between. This synth has a modern heart thanks to its extremely flexible arpeggiator, 256-step sequencer, and a wealth of connectivity and patching options.
WITH PATCHING CREATIVE ROUTING
For those interested in modulation, the Model 15 has 48 patch points, allowing for limitless interoperability with almost any setup. Nonetheless, this classic synth has extensive MIDI connectivity, allowing nearly any gear to groove with the Model 15’s own style.
This semi-modular synth also has Behringer’s 16-voice Poly Chain technology, which allows you to connect compatible modules for completely synchronized performances with up to 16 voices of polyphony.
DYNAMIC PERFORMANNE POTENTIAL
While patching, MIDI, envelope, and LFO tools offer several modulation options, the Model 15’s powerful sequencer and arpeggiator provide synthesists with exciting, dynamic rhythmic composition choices.
Its arpeggiator is versatile and contains a hold function, as well as many playback and recording modes, and its sequencer has three separate 256-step memory slots. Key transposition features and variable key-tracking expand the Model 15’s latent sonic possibilities by providing more ways to inject complex harmonics and multi-oscillator crazy.
