Born and raised in Monrovia, Liberia Ghassan Fadel, nickname Gus , was immediately introduced to music and it’s many forms when he was just very young in age. Plumped in a high seat at home with headphones big enough to barely fit his tiny ears and head, music immediately took control of a huge part of his personality and character, thus, changing the course of his life forever.

Because of his father’s business, Gus was continuously on the move from one continent to the next. Although the constant moving around and travelling took it’s toll and got a bit too much at times, he was fortunate enough to quickly grasp and acquire the many different genres of music he heard from the many different countries he visited and lived in. This as a result, led him to have the luxury and joy to discover and distinguish rhythms and beats from all over the globe.

A degree in Communication Arts and emphasis in Journalism from the Lebanese American University in Beirut, he also graduated recently from Pervurt, a school for DJs in Beirut and the only of it’s kind in the entire Middle East. Gus at Pervurt was given the opportunity and skills to do what he had always dreamed of doing…Mix dance music professionally… Introduced and taught what Tech House, Minimal, Progressive, Techno, ... and all that falls into the category of dance, thus opening new realms and horizons to listening and defining what “electronic dance music” and it’s many facets was all about

He says with all pride and joy, “graduating from Pervurt and staying onboard to become part of the team, has got to be the best thing to ever happen since I discovered the school a year back.” He adds with a smile, “I know I’m in very good hands but it’s DJ G-Mohris my mentor, agent, and very good friend, whom I appreciate the most”

He also hopes to continue and pursue music production at Pervurt. But for now, it’s all about gracing the decks, having a great time, and playing good music for the masses to “shake what they’ve got”, wherever they may be.
